Question by xtremelyeuro: Does walmart plan to stop selling ammo and shooting supplies in the future?
A lot of walmarts all over the nation stopped selling firearms. Does anyone know if they have any plans to stop selling ammo and shooting supplies as well?

Here in my town they are still selling just as fast as they can get in inventory. It would not make good business sense to stop selling right now, especially ammo, because whatever they get into the store sells out as fast as they can put in on the shelf.

If you don’t take care of the weapon properly then of course this could truly have an effect on just how correct your shots are going to be while competing. Before you even begin cleaning your shotgun the very first thing you need to do from a safety point of view is be sure that there is no ammunition in it. Only when you have done this can you start the undertaking of dismantling and cleaning the weapon. You need to read through the manual provided with your shotgun because it will explain completely the best way to break down the shotgun correctly. With regards to cleaning tools for the weapon a respectable supplier of skeet and trap shooting supplies can offer just what you need. As well as looking for these items in the area we will get you just what you are seeking online.

Outstanding quality–Excellent clarity of vision–Light weight and easy on the ears–Use is broader than shooting (which I have used them for)–can be helpful in tennis and other racquet sports as protective wear.
I know the ones in my town did.
Yes, most wal-marts pulled their FFL’s but as long as people buy ammo they will continue to do so.
in the county next to where i live, both walmarts still carry and sell firearms and ammo and other shooting supplies.
[the county i live in doesn't have a walmart]
I don’t believe so, I know local wally worlds where I live near seel plenty of ammo so I don’t know why they would.. I know most don’t sell the guns no more, but selling ammo seems to still be going strong, along with other shooting supples.
Walmart has unfortunately abandoned the firearm industry. They are afraid of being associated with the stigma. The local Walmarts here if Missouri seem to be selling out of there ammo.
I believe Walmart will continue to sell firearms and ammunition in markets where it sells. They are in business to make money. Other markets where firearms were not selling no longer have them. If the ammunition stops selling they will no longer sell that either.
I have heard some Walmarts have actually looked into doing away with sporting goods all together and enlarging their toy section to capitalize on the revenue they make on toys at Christmas.
Wal-mart is actually very Pro-2nd ammendment in a way.
They have a corporate policy that CCW holders ARE allowed in all wal-marts in america.
Because it’s beginning to be a problem when store managers are putting up signs stating “no firearms allowed”
And this is actually AGAINST corporate policy…..
If you dont believe me log onto their website and get a copy of it, or EMAIL THEM, they will tell you the same thing i just did.
The wal-mart i usually goto in Maryland has PLENTY of rifles and shotguns in stock……
Rifles and shotguns arent on the “grablist” right now…..assault weapons are…….
(which obviously wal-mart doesn’t sell)
From what I understand, a few Wally-Worlds in bad neighborhoods have stopped selling ammo.
Right now stopping the sales of ammo in a store is a foolish idea, because most of it is flying off the shelves before it can even be stocked.
It makes no business sense to stop selling a product you can’t even keep up with the demand on.
An older gent at the gunclub explained this to me when I asked why none of the new Walmarts sell guns beyond the old CVA muzzleloaders. He said theres is some law (State or Federal I’m not sure of) that prohibits selling alcohol and firearms in the same store, if anyone knew more about this it would help. But it seems about right, all the new SUPER-Walmarts don’t sell anything except ammo while the really old Walmart by me, which doesn’t sell very many food-stuffs and no alcohol still sells some rifles and shotguns, nothing spectacular, but more than muzzleloader kits.
